HomeBridge Partners with IWK CHOICES

HomeBridge is excited to announce a partnership with the IWK CHOICES program that will greatly improve our efforts in substance use prevention.

Assessment Clinician, Johneen Kelly, MSW, RSW will be at HomeBridge for three months starting in September to share her addictions expertise. She will be spending time in all six facilities and with the clinical and management teams. By Christmas she will have collected enough data to produce a report, written through an addictions lens, on observations and recommendations for HomeBridge’s practices. The goal of this initiative is to acquire information that can help shape our practices in an effort to assist the youth to cease or avoid substance use. Ms. Kelly will also recommend services that CHOICES could be providing for youth as well as training and support our employees could receive. A plan to achieve these recommendations will then put into place.

Ms. Kelly comes with a well-rounded background in residential care, addictions counseling and child protection. Her expertise and observations of the day-to-day lives of youth-in-care will be of great assistance in HomeBridge’s commitment to provide the best residential care and therapeutic programming for the youth we serve.
