Our Facilities: Sullivan House

Sullivan House is licensed as a six-bed, female residential facility for youth 12 to 18 years of age.

History

Sullivan House opened in February 1993 in response to a request to HomeBridge Youth Society, to provide a safe house for female youth actively involved in prostitution. Originally, Sullivan House was located in a vacant unit of the Nova Scotia Hospital, but it was moved in July 1995, to a house in Halifax. In the initial years, there was intensive involvement with the Task Force on Juvenile Prostitution.
